The Full Circle Confusion

I built this concept based on DJs of all backgrounds giving back to the artist that make DJing possible because the streaming services have taken over how music is played, streaming is king.

Or is it?

The popular streaming services are paying roughly £0.004 per stream, that's £4 per 1000 plays.

Lets take away the label fees, production fees etc and what the creator of these tunes sees is little to nothing

DJ Live Streams

Since COVID times we have had a massive influx of Live-streamers

Some monetise and some don't but what we do know is that royalties are paid from the music played, this is money that goes to the record label, again very little reaching the producer.

So what we have is some DJ streamers getting paid very good money playing tracks that the producer is seeing very little to nothing from those royalties.

Then we have DJs that arent getting paid to stream for whatever reason, the producer is still getting little to nothing in royalities

What we do know though is that the winner is the streaming platform.

You and the producer could also be winners.

Streaming is easy with Fair Play, you set up your live event, date and time and paste the link stream, share it on social media, your fans can set up a reminder and get notified of your pending live stream so they will never miss another of your live streams.

Remember, a forgotten stream is a missed potential donation but with Fair Play

Fair Play Is A Simple Concept

Whether you are playing out in a pub or club or playing a live stream you can cash in on it.

By joining Fair Play, pledging your playlist donation and displaying the logo and QR code you are not only putting money directly into the hands of the producer but you are also increasing the likelihood of becoming the recipient of a donation from outside of the circle, be it a customer in the club that loved your set so much to someone sat at home appreciating your work as a DJ.

The vision is that the producer gets a Fair Play of their track and the more people donate to the DJ the more I sincerely hope the DJ will donate to the artists.

And when it comes to youtube for example your set is on there forever so by displaying the Fair Play logo and QR code you could receive donations for years to come

DJ Recruitment

Fair Play has the option for you the DJ to mark yourself as available and set a price for your services.

Set your availability status, genre, cost and location radius and when a venue is looking for a DJ they can search for a genre in a location and they could find you.

The venues can also mark themselves as seeking a DJ and if their requirements fit your profile you can then contact them.

No Direct Fees

Fair Play do not charge a fee or subscription like some platforms that will take a percentage for bookings, there are no up front fees, all we ask is that you pledge a donation to your playlist, if recruited by a venue through Fair Play then a £5 minimum playlist donation is payable.

For live streams etc we have a minimum donation of £2 and would love to see the appreciation to the artists so for longer sets or sets with more tunes being played we would like to see higher donations but that is down to you the DJ, after all something is better than nothing.
